Most studios don’t have, or have only a small supply of outfits, and they are not specialized in makeup from male to female. Another key difference is that our prices automatically include all photos. This means you receive every picture on a USB stick and don’t have to order individual images and pay extra for each, as is usually the case elsewhere.

For example, in our full-day “Dein Tag” (Your Day) program, you get about 60 or more images on a USB stick—whereas at other services, you might get only a single photo for the same price. Feel free to compare! :-)

Personal

It goes without saying that a highly specialized service such as transgender support is personal. Who would want to stand in line, ticket in hand, waiting to be called for makeup and photos—while having to share what may be your first and very important day as a woman (en femme) with other guests?

To avoid an impersonal atmosphere and give you one hundred percent of my attention, Frau-Sein.de schedules only individual appointments. (Except, of course, for partner photo shoots.) But “personal” means something else, too: every guest is looked after by me, Elli Hunter, throughout the entire day/appointment. I do your makeup, style you, and take your photos—and you can talk to me. You have the opportunity to discuss your feelings as a transgender woman intensively and in private. The crucial point is: I understand you.

Competent

I myself am transgender. I have been living my life as a woman for 30 years, and now I do so daily through my work. Since Frau-Sein.de was founded in 2002, I have met hundreds—if not thousands—of transgender individuals in every form (transvestites, crossdressers, transsexuals). I understand their fears, worries, and preferences—above all from my own experience.

I also started out with carnival wigs, my mother’s clothes, and subpar makeup. I, too, made fruitless attempts to “break free” from it, even thought I might be transsexual, and spent years going in circles—constantly moving back and forth between a certain idea and a reality that was often very sobering. And I, too, had a partner who tried in her own way to grasp transgender or transvestism. Many of my guests have felt or still feel the same way; most of us share a very similar biography.

I’m neither a psychologist nor a psychiatrist or psychotherapist, but through my daily work, I certainly know more transgender people than most and can empathize with them better, simply because I am one. That means I can support you not only with professional expertise but also with authenticity—advising you on topics such as coming out and offering guidance. You don’t have to explain or justify yourself to me. I can’t, don’t want to, and won’t “treat” you. Instead, I want to show you just how wonderful your special womanhood can be.

Heart and Soul

“Heart and soul” stands for authenticity. Frau-Sein.de is not just a job; it’s my life. I’m not a vegetarian butcher trying to understand my customers—I am just like my guests, and they can relate to me. It was always my dream to turn my passion into my profession, to work as a woman in makeup artistry and photography, and I love making extraordinary people like you happy through my work.

But I’m not the only one who pours my heart into Frau-Sein.de—my partner Pia does too. Although she’s a cis woman and understandably can’t fully empathize with us trans girls the way I do, she is time and again utterly enchanted by my wonderful girls.

Versatile

At Frau-Sein.de, I offer you a full service: makeup, styling, indoor and outdoor photography, event workshops, and consultations—all from a single source. You can choose from five different programs, and you can have studio or outdoor photos of yourself. You can go for a walk en femme with me, go shopping or out to a café, or book a completely individual makeup course just for you.

Additionally, or as an entertaining alternative with an “event” atmosphere, you can attend my two-day makeup seminar, which accommodates up to twelve participants and is held twice a year in my studio. You also have the option to use my outfit rental and storage services. Plus, you can purchase high-quality wigs and professional makeup from me at affordable prices.

Equipment

Frau-Sein.de—the transgender service with the most versatile range of equipment worldwide. This isn’t a bold, empty claim, but a fact. Many of my guests tried other transgender services before coming to me—not only in the German-speaking region but also internationally (England, the Netherlands, the USA, Australia, etc.). I know from them that my wide variety of equipment far exceeds what anyone else offers—whether it’s wigs, props, décor items, and especially clothing and shoes (including XXXL plus sizes). For tasteful, aesthetic photos, I also have professional equipment in the fetish realm, along with a very large selection of fetish clothing (latex, vinyl). My 140-square-meter studio is professionally and technically fully equipped, including my camera gear. For example, I use a Nikon D800 with an impressive resolution of 36.9 megapixels.
