Without writing an entire biography, I’d like to explain my motivation. I’ve known since childhood that I’m a transvestite/crossdresser/trans—whatever you want to call it. After a lot of self-contempt and countless attempts to “get rid” of this side of me, I began accepting this “feminine” part of myself and integrating it into my life. There was no one I could openly talk to, and no one who could properly explain how to apply makeup believably as a woman. As a result, I ended up with hundreds of poorly lit self-timer photos. Keep in mind, this was a time when the internet didn’t yet offer the networking opportunities it does today. For a long time, I thought I was the only man plagued by a passion for being a woman.

I spent years going in circles—always torn between the mirror, my own ideas, and reality, which was often very sobering. After many years, I dared to go out in public at night for the very first time. Alone, plagued by fear and the question: “Can everyone tell I’m not a woman?” Today, I know that a neat appearance, good makeup, a realistic wig, and chic clothing generate the best acceptance from the people around us.

There’s hardly anything I haven’t done en femme by now. My questions have been answered, and I’ve become a balanced person as a result. In 2002, I turned this part of my personality into my profession. In 2004, I registered the name “Elli Hunter” as my stage name. I’m effectively a “full-time crossdresser”—I work and live as Elli about 330 days a year.

Over nearly 50 years, I’ve learned a great deal, and through Frau-Sein.de, I’ve heard countless stories. This experience gives me the confidence to help you “girls” with your questions, fears, and ideas.
